In the morning telescope is dedicate to LUCI1 MOS exchange.
12:15: telescope released, SX and DX
CalUnit deployed.
We do a sweep of +/-10" in 11 steps:
Results are very similar to yesterday's ones. However we did a mistake in the Rx and Ry determination. We measure the centers to be:
Pupil |
[Rx; Ry] |
PI |
Blue |
[95.0; -128.0] |
[-0.60; -2.05] |
Yellow |
[93.5; -130.3] |
[-4.00; 0.90] |
Red |
[93.5; -132.0] |
[-3.40; 4.20] |
From these position we saved a new
jitter initial position: 20160309_213300
Hexa |
4.80 |
1.00 |
-0.71 |
93 |
-128 |
We try to close with LGSW only:
We also acquire a new set for pupil motors positions:
Pupil |
X |
Y |
Blue |
350 |
421 |
Red |
525 |
412 |
Yellow |
341 |
438 |
and we save a new
pupil target tag: 20160309_213652
Then we load a disturb equivalent to 1" seeing:

LUCI1 rotator was set to 341deg and the pupil derotator of FLAO was at 0deg.
We also measure the PCT of SX using
CalUnit, since we noticed a drop in performance of the red PC:
Then we close the loop using the Pyramid as TT sensor (BIN2). Disturb was set to 1". Thruth sensing was on:
We try to reduce the gain of the 2 astigmatism modes to check if we could have better performance (astigmatism modes have a bigger residual rms than focus and other nearby modes).

LgswUnitDx subapertures definition
We start from 20151016_170000 subapertures set. This is a
CoG set, with Internal source pattern.
We define a new set for
TCoG48: 20160309_235100
To produce a on-sky pattern of subapertures we must remove the central ones (89 on Blue, 266 on Yellow and 443 on Red) and the top row of the Blue pupil ( 66, 81, 96, 111, 126).
We create a new set using as centres:
Pupil |
Cx |
Cy |
Blue |
197 |
128 |
Yellow |
78 |
69 |
Red |
79 |
194 |
So we have the following subap sets for DX-LGSW:
- CoG, on-sky: 20160310_000700
- TCoG48, on-sky: 2060310_000900
