With my basic knowledge of IDL I prepared a TCP interface for the LED light source. It's only very rudimentary, but with your skills it will be very easy to extend its functionality. How to prepare the device: First of all, you should get a connection to the moxa serial device server, which is inside the device. You can find all informations here: http://www.moxa.com/product/ne-4100t.htm Changing the IP address is quite easy when you use the NPort Search Utility (windows only). Use a address you have access to. Once you managed to set the IP address, you can configure the device server with a browser, just enter the address. 1. Open 'Operating Settings' and select 'TCP Server Mode', check that the local TCP port is 4001. Submit. 2. Open 'Serial Settings' and check the settings: 19200 Baud, 8 bit, 1 stop, no parity, no flow control. Now you can use IDL for illumination purposes ;-)
